Montecito Villa
Two houses on one property, years apart, built with integrity.
The Montecito Villa is a private estate on two and a half acres. We were asked to leave the house as it stood and elevate everything inside it.
Sixty five hundred square feet, and not a surface left as we found it. Floors, walls, millwork and cabinetry, tile, fixtures, hardware: every finish in the house came out and went back new. The kitchen and bathrooms were rebuilt entirely. The Vantage lighting system was brought up to date throughout, room by room, until the whole house answered as one.

Years later, the owners asked us back.
On the same grounds we built a guest cottage of eight hundred square feet: two bedrooms, a full bath, and a full kitchen, drawn and build to match the villa so closely that it reads as though it had always stood there.
